Step Out: The Dream Won't Chase You

Step Out: The Dream Won't Chase You

There's a version of your life you've imagined. Maybe it's a business, a ministry, a creative project, a family, or a move to a new place. You can see it, but somehow, you're still standing at the threshold, not stepping in. Today, let's talk about why and what to do about it.

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7

Fear is real. We shouldn't dismiss it. But we should understand where it comes from and where it doesn't come from. The fear that keeps you stuck, that tells you you're not qualified enough, that whispers "who do you think you are?" that is not from God. God's voice sounds like courage, like love, like a sound and steady mind.

The dream God plants in you is not an accident. It's a seed, and like all seeds, it requires action, not just admiration. You can't water a seed by staring at it. You have to plant it, tend it, and trust that life will come even when you can't see it yet.

What's one small step you can take today toward the dream? Not the whole journey, just one step. Write the first paragraph. Send the email. Make the call. Register the business name. One brave step is worth more than a hundred plans never acted upon.

God doesn't call the equipped; He equips the called. You don't have to have everything figured out. You just have to start.

The dream won't chase you. But grace will meet you every step of the way as you pursue it.

Challenge: Write down the one step you've been avoiding. Commit to taking it this week. Tell someone so they can hold you accountable.
