Every generation produces people who are remembered long after they're gone not because of what they accumulated, but because of what they gave. Think about the people in your own life who have made the most impact on you. Chances are, they were givers. Servants. People who made you feel seen, cared for, and valued.
Jesus flipped the world's definition of greatness entirely. In a world that chases status, power, and recognition, He pointed to the person with the towel. The one washing feet. The one at the back of the room was making sure everyone else had enough.
Greatness, in God's economy, looks like service.
There's a psychological phenomenon researchers have called the "helper's high," the genuine boost in well-being that comes from helping others. It's not just anecdotal. When we give, something in us comes alive. Because we were made to be generous. Generosity isn't a sacrifice of joy; it is joy.
What can you give today? It doesn't have to be money. It can be time, attention, a skill, an encouraging word, a meal, or a helping hand. It can be wearing something that carries a message and starting a conversation that changes someone's day.
The beautiful life is not the one spent acquiring.
It's the one spent pouring out and discovering, miraculously, that it never runs dry.
